Hayato is originally from Japan and ows its name to a clan residing in the south of Japan that used to keep up exotic customs and oppose the government in ancient times. The fruits need plenty of warmth and more time to reach maturity.

Fruits: brown-orange, round but flattened, ribbed; similar to Banat. Size (DxH): 10 - 15 cm x 7 - 9 cm; Flesh: yellow-orange; 3 cm thick, firm; fine-grained, sweetish, fruity, slightly nutty flavour;
