| Fascinated by the enormous diversity of squashes, pumpkins and gourds and after many years of experience in the field, dealing not only with the cultivation of the different varieties but also with the preparation of the fruits, I wanted my friends and other interested people to benefit from this experience. So I decided to found a club with the name Kürbis-Club Basel, which later developed into a society with the name kürbis-club.ch. There are now more than 800 people throughout Europe who are member of this society. At the start, I took orders from the members and organized the supply of seeds from all around the world. However, the demand became so great that I had to pass on this responsibility to a small company, KCB-Samen, which now deals with more than 700 kinds of cucurbits! Michel Brancucci |
